My name is Gabriela De Golia and I am a young professional and student living in Connecticut. I identify as a nonbinary woman (she/they), white, queer, and disabled, among other things.
A lover of words since a young age yet hesitant to embrace the title of “writer” for many years, I have now accepted a calling to intentionally create magic with language. This blog arose primarily out of my desire to share my writing more broadly with the world but it has also become a space where I share my other creations. This includes my artwork, which you can find here.
In addition to writing and making art, I work at the nexus of spiritual praxis and social justice activism by helping individuals and communities take practical steps towards collective liberation for all beings. I offer tarot readings that are grounded in trauma-sensitive and anti-oppressive frameworks, and I have a free digital resource guide for white folks seeking to uproot white supremacy. You can read more about my professional and academic background on LinkedIn.
On the lighter side of things, I love to eat great food, watch Hayao Miyazaki films, contemplate different topics, make art, read tarot cards, spend time alone, and see friends and loved ones. On nice days you might catch me riding my bike, hiking, or swimming in any body of water I can find. When the weather is gloomy, you’ll likely find me in my bedroom with tea or kombucha and a good read, with music playing in the background.
If any of this speaks to you, let’s chat. You can reach me through the contact page.
A note about the website art: unless otherwise noted, the pieces were made by me. If you’d like to use any of them, please ask for my permission first. Thank you.
